Refinishing your pool?
** WE do not ask you to stay home as we are working on your pool because unfortunately it is very hard to give a specific time of day that we will be there. Jobs take different timelines due to different circumstances. If you would leave the screen door unlocked, that is all we ask. We understand that every customer has different situations, we will try our very best to accommodate you.**
- Using our pump we drain the pool to an empty lot, gutter, drain, or retention area beside your house and not across the street. If that is not available then we would ask you to stop adding chlorine for a week or two prior to the drain date of the pool. We then would run our hose out to the street and nobody’s lawn will brown because there wasn’t any chlorine level.
- We prep the pool using grinders and chipping hammers. We will remove the existing pool finish from under the bottom of the tile and from around fittings, lights, returns, and floor heads.
- Bang/Chip out any areas of the existing finish that are hollow sounding.
- Acid wash pool to remove dirt or power wash pool to remove paint, fiberglass, or epoxy.
- Bond coat the old finish so the new finish adheres.
- Mix up the mud (The Pool Finish) and wheel barrow back to the pool, dump the mud in the pool and begin troweling to reach a smooth hard finish.
- Either that same day or the next day we water wash the pool if it’s a pebble rock, or we acid wash the pool if it’s a quartz aggregate.
- When the hose is in your pool, that’s it, we are done!
- The two-week start up procedure then begins when pool is filled up.
Refer to the start up instructions under pool procedures from the home page. We will also leave an envelope on your porch with start up instructions and your invoice. Any one of the guys will except payment or call the office if you prefer to pay by credit card.
